It is certainly a hot topic at the moment as a lot of people are often asking the questions
meditation is important?
meditation is good?
does meditation work?
meditation is good for you?
Let's go back to the beginning of meditation. It first developed in India, with the earliest records showing as 5,000 to 3,500 BCE, which showed people seated in meditative postures with half-closed eyes.
It is strange that a practice that has been around for this length of time still generates questions like the above and confusion with questions such as
are meditation and mindfulness the same thing
are meditation and yoga the same
are meditation and prayer the same
At Spero Meliora we believe in empowering others to learn and grow along with us - we gave meditating a try, we do not mind admitting that the first few times were not successful. Here's the thing though, meditation is a PRACTICE, and as we all know you get better with practice.
It is said that you should aim to meditate for 8 minutes a day to feel benefits from the practice, please remember that everyone is different though so your results and maybe different from others.
We encourage you to try and practice this act - make some time for yourself, as above it does not take a lot.
